An exciting part of my portfolio career has been working with University students.  As a Senior Lecturer I’ve taught undergraduates and postgraduates at all levels, winning awards for my teaching practice.  Most recently, as Programme Lead in Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University, Cheshire.

In addition to University experience, I have undertaken environmental and natural history workshops in schools and community groups in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.  Like the poet Robert Frost, I see my role as ‘an awakener’ of curiosity, interest and self-confidence.
